If the frame is good?
Somebody spent some money on this one I would guess.

You made me spit out my coffee!
Why does it seem that every low-buck chrome bumper car I see for sale has the rear end jacked way up? There's like 4" of clearance between the top of the tire and the fender arch. Here's another example where the seller appears to have done two things to enhance the sale: Crank the leaf-spring bolts down all the way, and sprinkle dust all over the car to simulate a barn find.

The CL 427 convertible is interesting. I think the barn find part is real. The right rear tire looks like it was just pumped up, after sitting for a long, long time. You can tell, where people rubbed up against the rear fender (passing by it in an enclosed space) versus the narrower sections. It is a four speed car and that adds to it and no, not a big fan of it being jacked up in the back. But, if that 427 turns over and runs it looks like it would be a lot of fun to drive. The price is waaay to high, they need to bring it down to sub 15,000 easy. What I think it has going for it, is that old 'street race' vibe. She looks like a car that would relish a late night stop light contest. Yes, it would take a lot of dough, but I think there's promise there. Not Bloomington Gold, but a good old shot of adrenaline on demand. Patina is in these days and she'd get her fair share of looks from people who really know what a street machine is.

I agree with you F22, but...an east coast car, ugh! I'd have to look really closely, matching engine. yadayada. Then it would be worth the investment. Because its going to take some money, thats for sure.
