Default Hagerty Insurance Towing Experiences

I currently do not have the towing on my policy, but am considering adding it after needing a tow last week. What are the experiences of those that used it?
Last week when I needed the tow, I called the repair shop that I use. They called a towing company, and 45 minutes later the truck arrived. The driver told me they sent the flat bed that can tow cars with the lowest clearance.
I was pleased with the service, and wonder how it would have compared if I had Hagerty?

you never know what an uninsured tow is going to cost. its like uninsured medical bills, they can be 3 times the normal price.
flatbed?.. oh thats another 100 $, low clearance? thats another 50.. tow for 50 miles? thats another 100$...
so yes, get AAA or towing on your insurance.

Also check with your primary auto insurance carrier. They may have a blanket towing coverage thing that will cover any car you're driving.

Default hagerty towing

I was within 50 miles of home and there was no charge. Person from Hagarty handled getting the wrecker and kept me informed when it would arrive. it was a easy process. They did a great job.

I believe Hagerty has several tow options including un-limited. You might want to call and chat on what they offer. Shaking the bugs out of my BB 70, I enjoyed several leisurely trips home or to a shop in the cab of the roll back while baby rode safely on the bed. The trucks dispatched to my "problems" were clean, nice trucks and the drivers knew all about getting a Vette safely on and off the bed. I've always found Hagerty's service and amenities a tremendous value for our special interest rides. Unlimited tows is a God send for klutzes like me.

That looks like the best choice. My regular policy does not offer it for vehicles they do not insure and AAA was more expensive.

I have Hagerty policy that covers towing. Got stranded due to bad battery. I called Hagerty and they had a flatbed at my location within 1 hour. The flatbed truck was a POS but the driver got the vette on and off with no damage. I was about 12 miles from home and my policy covers the minimum distance they offer which is not more than 25 miles. So no complaints
