Welcome to the forum. Someone correct me if I am wrong. There were no production big block Corvettes in 74, so placement shouldn't matter. Unless you are building a tribute car. This question has been asked before. Maybe do a search on the forum for placement.

I think it's in the AIM. Willcox has the info for 68-69 427 hood emblems. This might get you close.

454 Big Block Letters
This should be what you are looking for with your "454" placement.
Good luck.

If you get yourself the AIM for 1974 you will find that drawing on UPC 11G, Sheet 1. The AIM can be an invaluable addition to the car for you. I bought my electronic searchable version from Willcox Corvette. Best purchase you can make in my opinion.
Good luck with your new Big Block 74 and welcome to the Corvette Forum.

Big block yes
74 was the last year for 454, and pre- cat cars
