Meh - Super Chevy & Chevy Hi-Perf just to see whats new & the ads. Loved Corvette Fever but when they sold out to Vette I canceled after few issues.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Classic Motorsports. Also, since I am a vintage racer, I like Victory Lane. The columnist that writes on selected auction results is worth the price alone.

As far as on the newsstand only Corvette Magazine and Vette Magazine still exist. Mean while how many Porsche magazines are there? At least 5 including Classic Porsche.
Hagerty is all I get in the mail now. I recently gave up Hot Rod after about 40 years of loyalty. At one time I used get 8 or so in the mail. Popular Hotrodding was my favorite but that's long gone.

HotRod, Car Craft and Hemming Muscle Machines. Still have a Popular Mechanics subscription for another year and Firearms News which used to be Shotgun News. I love the articles and the adds. If im reading a story I dont have an add popping up to tell me something about something I dont car about and I can flip through the pages without loosing the story I'm reading. Plus if I want to find the story again, I pic up the mag and open it, I dint have to wait for the mag to power on, load up, get the browser up, remember what the story was called, where I saw it or what the favorite was saved under.
I love a good magazine.

ive got stacks of old magazines. I still enjoy reading them but very few good ones left. I think there are only 2 corvette ones on the local newsstand. My question is when you sold them what price did you ask and how successful were you? I am wondering if it is worth the effort. The only current subscription I have is Goodguys Gazette that part of membership. Just wondering about resale value. Thanks
Now to compare I had 5000 comic books from the 60's -90's with 10-12 key issues. The book value was $42k, the best offer I got was $8k

I still subscribe to Vette Magazine, Super Chevy, Car Craft, Hot Rod, and other hobby magazines (photography, audio, home theater, fitness...). Thousands of mags piled up in the basement since the 1960s.......never threw any away, but many have been given away.

To be honest I still prefer to read a magazine rather than online articles.
For years I used to subscribe to Corvette Fever, Vette, Vette Vues, Chevy High Performance, Muscle Car Review, and Hot Rod.
Now I only subscribe to Hot Rod because I like the variety of cars they feature, and I enjoy the tech articles.

Started reading this and it got me to thinking, so I went into the cupboards and found all of my old corvette magazines. What a blast from the past. I have 2 piles that are each over 4 feet high. I have Corvette Fever, Vette, Corvette World, Vette Quarterly, Corvette News, a few old T. Michaelis catalogs that are printed on newpaper, and the biggest surprise and what was my favorite magazine of all time, "Corvette Corner Magazine". I wish that one had stayed in business. Always C2's and C3's with lots of how to articles. Now that I've dug all of these out, I don't have to buy any new magazines. I have enough to read for at least the next ten years. Oh, and my favorite current magazine happens to be Car Craft. (If they're still in business)

I wonder if any one remembers a custom 57 chevy 2 door I saw in a car magazine around 94 or so. It was in Car Craft or Popular Hotrodding or something, one of the more popular magazines at the time. The guy cut a number of inches out of the car horizontal with the ground to give it more the side profile of a 59 or 60. Everything made shorter - front fenders, doors, rear quarters and the trunk and hoods much flatter, again like a 59 or 60 chevy. But it still had the fins and brushed bright side moulding, just the tail fins were a little more laid back with sharper angles, again more in keeping with a 59 or 60. Do you remember ever seeing a car like that in a car magazine back then? It has always stuck in my mind how dramatic an improvement in appearance it was to me, going from a car I really don't like the appearance of, to one I liked a great deal.
Money was tight when I saw the magazine on the stands and I thought at the time I should by it but decided it was frivolous and I've regretted it ever since.

Priya, As I make my way through the 2 mountains of mags that I have, I'll keep my eyes out for your dream car. If I should happen to come across it, it's yours. Wish me luck.

P.S. You may hear from me in the future.

My favorite Mag and most consistent one I buy, is Vintage Motorsport! Occasionally they cover some Corvettes, but I like all of the other vintage Race cars!
Another I like is this one about people’s Garages! But I think that is like quarterly!
I buy the Corvette or Porsche ones occasionally, the Porsche guys do a way better job of finding Vintage interesting articles!
I will grab other random mags, like when they do like a car shootout article!
Gun mags, I get the Treasury Issues of Shotgun news and a Mag about old flintlocks, percussions, swords, and tomahawks, etc.
I get some Modeling Mags too, armor, or cars! We

I subscribe to Car and Driver just to keep up on the latest cars and trends.
I have a big stack of Corvette News from the late 60's to early 70's which I read from time to time
But my favorite is reading old Mechanix Illustrated from the 40's thorugh the 60's. It like a time machine, can't get enough of Tom McCahill and those old articles, cars, and ads.

Priya:
Would you by any chance be talking about the n2a Motors 789, which combines the design ques from 1957, 1958 and 1959 Chevrolets? It was built on brand new C6 donor cars!! That is what came to mind when you wrote your comments. Take care, OLE442
