instrument panel wiring harness diagram 1970 Corvette
Looking for a diagram to hook up my instrument gauges. I have a 1970 manual but the UPC12 sheet 5 is blurry and I can't make anything out.
From what I can see on the sheet in the manual it does not show me what plugs get plugged in where or what colors. Looking for help or a good diagram.
Thanks.

If you are trying to connect individual components (fuel gauge, temp gauge, etc) to specific wires, the AIM will not provide that into. You will need the GM electrical schematic diagram to show what color of wiring is connected to specific components.
In general, the main harness is routed from the driver's dash toward the passenger side.; and all of the gauge bezel stuff (gauge wiring, lighting, connectors) hooks to its respective component. Other then connecting the oil pressure line LAST, there are no tricky hook-ups.
P.S. I would highly recommend that once you have made ALL connections, you leave the entire bezel open so that you can test function of all gauges, lights, etc. When all checks out well, THEN you can assemble the bezel to the dash.

Just another Corvette guy
Go to eBay and order this diagram. It's the best $18 you will spend on your car. Color coded to match your car's harness, exact diagram for 1970 Corvette, laminated so it's durable and it's large 11" X 17" so it's easy to read. I have one for all of my cars.
