82 C3 CE - Sticking Rear Window Hatch Release
Folks,
I have a 1982 Collectors Edition that I've recently acquired and I'm going through the car now detailing and cleaning it. For the most part its in great shape.
One issue that I've found is that when I activate (pull) the rear window hatch release it seems to be sticking on the passenger side of the vehicle and not releasing. The driver's side fully releases.
Any thoughts on how to adjust or lubricate the cable mechanism?
Regards,
BillMac

Bill....
1.Open Hatch
2.Remove plastic tray and side pieces.
3.Adjust transverse cable.
4. Reassemble.
5. Lubricate with white lithium grease.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot once I figure out how to get it open. I'm assuming I can manually release it somewhere on the passenger side. I'll crawl around in there today after work.

hatching a plan
desert in bloom
crawl in there....let go all the screws holding the tray/panel down....reach up under the panel and grab the transverse cable and yank BOTH at the same time.
The whole hatch is adjustable.....many myths ensue!
