Just another Corvette guy
Interesting article, thanks for the share.
Pretty tough to please everyone's tastes with any car. I'm pretty sure most of my Corvette brothers here have another car (or two) as well as their Vette. Some days I like to drive my 1977 K20, other days I feel like driving the Vette and still other days it's the Harley. They're all great, but they're all very different, for different needs/moods.
As for "critics", whether they are reviewing movies, books or cars, personal prejudices abound. Style vs. Performance vs. Ergonomics vs. Size vs. Available/Limited Options, etc., etc., etc. My personal prejudice lies in the fact that I think most critics can kiss my hairy ***. They are bloated ego, self important bitches (like wine tasters) who feel the only way to show credibility is to sway from the popular vote and disdain any item considered iconic. Sure Corvettes aren't for everyone. Were never meant to be. But, like them or not, even the lowest horsepower later C3's were setting record sales numbers and 4 decades later, they're STILL popular.
So critics be damned, the public has spoken.
Cheers, Greg
