I’m looking to see if anyone knows of anyone else who makes the console data plates besides Trim Parts. I’m assuming some other company over the years has reproduced them.
What I’m trying to get is an exact reproduction of this 454 LS7 Data Plate. I would do a decent size order just to get correct ones made.
Hoping someone has info on another company besides Trim Parts with the tooling to stamp these out.
Is that a custom plate? No 454 LS7's were ever installed in C3 Corvettes, so no plates were ever needed to be made. I had a custom plate made by taking a stock plate to a local engraver who made info tags for mine. Or, if you can find a blank, show them what you want written.
Here is my custom made one......

This is a picture from a 1970 Corvette with an LS7 from an individual connected to GM. As far as origin of this plate, I can’t tell you, but I do know it’s from the early 70’s. Just because GM didn’t sell the cars after planning on it doesn’t mean that no plates were ever made.
Either way, yours looks nice too but I want to have them printed exactly how an original would have been, wether GM made this or not. Trying to find someone else outside of Trim Parts who does or has produced these in the past that may be easier to order in bulk from.

looking at yours, did he make individual pieces to glue over your tag or one piece and then you printed the lines?

Mine was made from individual pieces glued over my tag, since I could not find the proper 4 section blank for sale. I'm guessing there as many tags made as LS7 Corvettes, so no others were made. I know of no one other than Trim Parts that reproduces data plates, and all vendors sell those. If you could obtain a blank, a local trophy engraver could laser engrave it for you. Good luck in your search.
So what is a 454 LS7? I thought they only put the LS6 in the 71 Vettes. So is the LS7 like and L88 or an Aluminum head LS6?
The LS7 454 was designed and originally going to be an option for the 1970 Corvette model year. It was essentially designed to replace the L88. GM canceled the option shortly before delivering any 1970 Corvettes with this option. Even the emissions decals were made for the LS7 454 in the Corvette and can still be purchased. Several were made as test vehicles and one of the publications did an article driving one with some quarter mile test runs. The LS7 454 was rather sold as an over the counter crate engine starting in the very early 70’s. Most of them had iron heads, however some did get the same aluminum Snowflake heads as the L88. The engine is a big block beast.
