I’m actually looking for some help to cross reference Bryar Blue to a current paint code
preferably Sikkens
My paint shops computer and supplier can’t match it

Yes I did read that and thought that you might find someone to message there. There is also a paint body forum under general corvette topics and you may know about that, or not. Same deal. A lot of people don't seem to know it exists.
Dockroger,
I wanted to reply to this thread earlier today but I wanted to find a particular paint chip chart that I have somewhere. Well, I just can't seem to locate it but I can offer you this: I was in the same position several years ago with a Bryar Blue car of my own. I found an excellent match on the 1992 Ford PPG paint chart. I used it and it turned out so well I later painted another one of my Corvettes the same color. Trouble is the online charts colors are so bad and I cannot remember the correct name. But I can tell you it was one of these three:
1-Medium Seafoam Poly
2-Bright Calypso Poly
3-Cayman Blue Poly
The chips on the attached sheet are such poor quality, you cannot judge by them. However, if you can stop by any local body shop or paint supply shop and ask them for a copy of the 1992 Ford chart, you will be able to pick out the match quite easily.
Good Luck, Greg
I will be painting my 72 Bryar Blue shortly, probably this spring and talked with the local PPG rep and he told me that they no long mix up PPG 2434 but that PPG had a cross reference to another color code that is supposed to be the same.
I plan to bring my original tee tops to the PPG store when I get ready to buy and see if their new color code matches my tee tops. I do realize though that my tee tops might be faded from age so we will see how this works out.
Also as a practical matter, if you google Bryar Blue 72 Corvettes, you will see lots of slightly different shades, so I really think if you get close, it is probably ok and who can argue or judge. Bryar blue is a funny color and looks more blue or more greenish depending on lightning to me anyway.
Hope this helps and if you find out more, please let me know.
Your going to have a problem.... i just went through this myself with Akzo Nobel paint systems... they do not have any formulas for paint codes that far back. i just had my 73 painted and wanted it bridgehampton blue.. and they have nothing in the way of original formulas....at all! i used a chip book and got really close..which is fine on my end because i rarely see 2 bridgehampton cars that look alike anyway.. after hours of searching this is as close as i could get in my eyes
