borgsten box
Just got a delivery of the steering box.
It was in a shipping box, then the brand box, then a plastic bag. Nothing looks wrong and the box was in good condition.
There is what looks to be a little power steering fluid in the bag.( same colour) Not enough for a puddle just a light coating over it.
This this normal?
I am on the other side for the world where it came from so the box was more likely kicked , tossed, ran over a few times then dropped off a 10 story building then tossed out of a moving van at my house
Should i just wipe it down with a clean rag?

Thats totally normal! Borgeson pressure tests every unit before they are shipped out, so that is just the residual from the testing. I know this because I called borgeson when I received mine!
Great upgrade, youll love it!

What ever plug they use to plug the hose ports, if any, I am sure they do not screw-in well enough to be fluid tight.

Mine came the same way. I believe the boxes are rebuilt and repurposed for C3s, so they must be tested with PS fluid, then drained and shipped. I think mine came with plastic plugs, more to keep dirt out than fluid in.
And like yours, no leaks after installation! It totally changed my wife's 79.
