Repainting P02 wheel covers -- any advice?

I don't think I'd paint the outer rim in any circumstance. It is raw stainless without any plating or clear coat, so it can be polished up to like-new. All it takes is patience, and the result will look 1,000 times better than painting it with a chrome paint.

Nicely done! I am in the process of doing the same with my set. One question, are the sides of the center, finned section of the wheel cover painted black or just raw, pot metal finish? I know the outer edges are chrome plated. TY for taking the time to respond.

I am in the process of refinishing my set of P02's.
One question, are the sides of the center, finned section of the wheel cover painted black or just raw, pot metal finish? I know the outer edges are chrome plated. TY for taking the time to respond.

They are painted black.
