kOne last thing for you to do if you are not able to get more photo's … You can share where the car is located and ask a forum member to go take a look at the car and derive all the info you would need to make an educated and fair offer. This is done all the time here.

A few observations: All the stainless trim is gone from the t-tops and wiper door, something is odd about the door lock, and all of the emblems have been removed. The passenger side of the hood at the wiper door looks weird and where'd the wiper door go in the engine pic? The wiring could be a mess given the rats nest of wires on the far left hear the alternator and household wire nuts.
Edit: I see it's a '68, so door lock has push-button.

The info here at the forum has been great. I really appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share. You have given me enough info on this 68 that I'm passing on this car and will find another. Thanks folks. I'll enjoy our 64 until then.
I bought an L88 hood from GM in the mid 1970's. The real L88 hoods have an air plenum on the underneath which repror L88 hoods often don't have. The L88's had an air cleaner assemby that was compatible with the L88 hood...actually the filter was built into the L88 hood. Some Corvette vendors sell all the parts you need to have a factory duplicate L88 hood and air cleaner assemblies.
When I bought my "real" L88 hood from GM, I was disappointed that it didn't fit my 1969 that well. I had to have some body work on the front clip to make it fit.

Are they still trying to sell it? I'd be interested.
