Default Demon 750 Info

If I buy a Holley manual (like Davic Vizards) will this suffice for a Demon. Very few resources on Demon & they are based on a Holley after all.

for the most part any Holley book will work on a demon. I think there are a few unique things but I think the actual directions inside the demon box cover them pretty well.

Did Lars have a paper on the Demon carb at some point? Swear I remember seeing one.

ive run a demon for years on my 496 with no issues They got a bad rap there for awhile in the late 2000s and seems like they never recovered

Demon is 85% a Holley setup......gaskets, jets, power valves, etc... are all the same.....fuel log/line length from bowl to bowl is slightly different and so are the bowl fittings.
You really have to pay attention to the main body to base gaskets on them with the four corner idle....it is easy to use the wrong one and block the idle ports for the slot.
I went through a Mighty Demon 750 last winter and it worked beautifully......I really like the large glass float bowl level sights.....hot 340 Mopar with a stall, damn thing would launch with that carb.....pull like a train.
There is nothing really special about them......if you find an annular one, keep it....the Demon had it's own annular boosters....
If you come across a Unicorn late 90's Silver Claw or Gold Claw...let me know and I will buy it from you.....these were Holley knockoffs and Barry Grant got sued over them.....poof, the Demon was born.....changed just enough to clear the patent office.
Demon got a bad rap in the oughts due to the lower level models being built in Mexico.....you could literally pull one out of the box, shake it, and here jets and things rattling around inside. LOL. It was well known to pull your new Demon apart before installing.....the Might, Race and King Demon's were built here.........
Allstate Carb in Long Island, NY can help you with anything you need on one.

Thanks Jebby. I've got a Speed 750 with annulars that I picked up new about 10-12 years ago. It's only been run to break in an engine, but I have a new rebuild kit for it since it's been sitting so long. I do have the manual for it. I'll keep an eye out.
