First of all, I borrowed this picture from one of Alan's posts. Anyway, how do you adjust part C down? Do you hold on to part A, push down on part B, and then use a flathead screwdriver on part C? Which I did try that but C is absolutely not wanting to move. I was thinking of spraying some PB down under? Thanks ('72 auto 350 stock).
no. you loosen part A. it is the locknut. then you can screw C farther into it and the body. then retighten A to the body. while you are at it, add a bubbaescue cable or wire to the latch itself and hold it out from under the hood or all the way down to the ground (whichever way is best to pull it to pop latch) so if it decides it ain't gonna unlatch you have something to say in the matter.
