While I’ve got the suspension off the car, I’m taking the opportunity to clean and detail the frame and underbody where I have access.
I’ve cleaned all the fiberglass with simple green and water, and anything metal same plus wire brushes to clean up any rust.
For the metal parts and frame, I plan on painting with chassis black.
In a couple areas of the fiberglass underbody there is overspray from when the body was painted and what looks like Chevy orange where some of the suspension parts were probably spray painted while on the car.
would it be ok to use acetone or paint thinner to try and get the overspray off the underside?
What should put on the underside fiberglass? I understand it was left natural from the factory. Should I just hit it with armorall or something like that?
I used lacquer thinner to clean all the floors. If you use armour all or anything it'll look fine
I dusted a light coat of semi-gloss black krylon fusion to sort of even out the look rather than leaving it raw.
