intake height
[QUOTE=Razzputin]1969/70/71/7..... parts
intake(cast iron) 350 cu in #3965577 ($130.00) Dated D 14 70
I'm building a new engine for my 71 and I need to figure out what intake i'll be able to put in the new engine and still close the stock hood. Could you do me a big favor and tell me how tall you stock intake is?
Thanks in advance,
Rod

tall in relation to what? from the oil splash guard to the top of the carb base? you can use a performer intake with no problem with the small block hood. remember you can also get a drop down base for your air cleaner to give you a little more room.too hope that helps?

How old is the fuel pump? 1970? I have found one local for 5.00 but is a fuel pump numbers matching and really important to the resale of your corvette.

Been there and done that, you can fit and edelbrock performer EPS intake in there with a drop base air filter and a 2" air filter element. That is about as close as you can get. I have a 1972 and they are the same clearances. As you can see though I still was not happy so I cut it until I get an L88 hood and a paintjob.
