WTB - Wash/wipe **** for 78, but PLZ read specifics
My 78 is one of the earlier ones so it doesn't have the delay setting for the windshield wipers. I was told my **** doesn't have the curved arrow on it, like shown here:

NOBODY makes a replacement for the one I have, does anyone have the CORRECT **** I need or know where I can get one. I've checked Willcox, Ecklers, Dr Rebuild, Zip, Corvetteamerica...... and nobody has the one I need.

This is not a hard problem to fix…. Buy the **** with the arrow and then sand off the arrow with some 1500 grit. To luster the end of it back up, hit it with some 2000 grit and then some polish…

I didn't think of that, but I also wasn't sure if the **** would actually fit. I imagine it would and it looks like that is what I'm going to have to do. THANKS, I was going to call tomorrow to place an order anyway, so I'll add it on.

I put a on replacement **** (with arrow) and it doesn't have the metal insert that helps to hold it on . Every time I reach for the light switch it seems like I grab THAT **** and pull it off. Let us know if your new **** has the metal sleeve inside.

Mike,
The new ***** don't have the sleeve, but I've not heard of anyone pulling it off before. The **** screws on to the round shaft coming out of the wiper switch. Are the threads messed up on the shaft or the new ****?

Willcox, mine IS for the delay wipers. Not a round shaft on the wiper switch, more D shaped with the D shaped hole in the ****. Original **** broke apart but it had a sleeve inside. No big deal as I avoid any rain whenever possible. More for looks now. Just annoying trying to put it back on in the dark!
