Default WTB-327 350 hp motor for 68

Looking for a original 327-350 hp long block motor or 327 short block for my 68. If you have one please provide numbers. Unless I am lucky this is a long time search, so keep me in mind guys!

I am looking for a long block 327-350 hp or a 327 short block.
Block casting number 3914678.
Casting date needs to be July or early august 67:
This would be a G_ _ 7 or H_ _7
Prefer never bored but would consider a .020 or .040 overbore.
Heads would be 3917291 or 3917292 and have the same date codes as the engine block.

The correctly dated block is the most important thing. If I have to, I will build up the rest.

Car was born October 4th 1967. I am only going back a max of 3 months because I know of some cars born on the same day and they have blocks from July / August. I guess 6 months would work but for now I will only consider June, and preferably July and August.
Thanks!

Are you looking for one that matches your car or just a 68 327.

I have an old 327 just sitting at a friends house about 3hrs away. We could get lucky. I wouldn't bet on it being a vette engine.

Default 68 327 block

I have an original 68 327/350 HP Corvette short block. Standard bore, never disassembled, never decked, still has oil pan, timing cover and 8" balancer on it. Call me if you think you might be interested and I can get you whatever information you would like about the block. Charlie 423-881-4059.

Just wondering why you are only allowing yourself two months when NCRS allows 6?
When was your car born?
One reason I ask is I have a 3914678 block (standard bore) cast dated D-13-8, I might have some heads that will work with this block also.

If you dont find the heads you want I have some 186 casting heads with 2.02/1.60, and screw-in-studs and guide plates. Still at the machine shop being rebuilt with all new parts. Let me know if your interested.

Correct heads would have casting dates a little before the block. Heads were done in advance of blocks. The heads on my 327/300 car are original. One is dated late March, the other early April. Block cast 4/4/68 if I recall correctly. Engine assembed 4/9/68.

I will keep this in mind in case I broaden the dates or learn more. Thanks!

Easy Mike,
I appreciate the info that the heads were done in advance of blocks.

I didn't read everything, but if you just want a 68 327 I have one, but it's not from a Vette. PM me if you care to.

No, that's not a 68 or 69. Not sure what year it is or if it is a Vette block or not.
Sorry
