Default Anyone wanna sell their 1-piece astro top?

I know there have been plenty of people who claim to have bought one and didn't like it and now it's just sitting in the garage because they couldn't return it.

Anyone who would like to sell me their FUNCTIONAL (not broken) one-piece "smoke gray" (black-looking) astro top please let me know. This will be going on a 1980. What do you want for it?

Now is your chance to unload it and get a few bucks back, because you know damn well no one else here is going to buy it, heh.

I'm not so sure that nobody else would be interested... Might be nice to get the head room for $200. Good for cool evenings... I think I might be tempted

All the controversy and hype.... I have one and have always said I love it. I like the head room, I like the ease of storing it. It fits in the back of the car nice and luggage goes underneath. It looks great on my BlackRay.

Yep it leaks some but so do my T's. But, then again I don't intentionally drive the car in the rain so it works out.

Good luck with your inquiry.... I just thought I would give you a bump!.

Yeah, I have one on my 81, wouldn't mind getting one for the 80 because I love the look, but I still carry the original T's in the back just in case. I'm normally a "top off/down" kind of guy, but it's winter now and the T's on the 80 squeak and rattle like a ****.

I'll rephrase my question ... At what price would anyone who is dissatisfied with their "like-new" astro top and wants to get it out of the garage be willing to sell it?

Interesting (lack of) responses. Everyone hates 'em, no one wants to give them up...

(bump!)

I'd like to buy one of these myself. I see them on Ebay occasionally for 300-400.

Yeah, not much savings there since they're $389 new. Also, the only seller I've ever seen on ebay is Thompson themselves ... I have a feeling they watch ebay and buy back as many of the astrotops sold there they can so they can resell them at full price.

Either that or they're protecting their brand.

Bumping again, I figured with all of the astrotop haters SOMEONE would want to sell theirs.
