Default 1969 Front Clip

What is a 1969 front clip in excellent condition worth? New to the parts section but looking at a car to buy that needs one and would like to know what I need to allow. Thanks.

you could get a new 1 piece for 1000 or used original between 500 /3,000 you just have to wait and be patient ,don;t rush out and buy one unless its a great deal and local ,shipping charges could run 2/700 depending on where in the country it is ,also look for a complete as possible ,headlight grills, bumper ,etc ,all the little things could run over 1000 to find plus the time

If you can't do the instalation yourself double the parts charge or more for labor.

Ill do the install my self. Never did one but have a complete shop at home. I would definately want one "complete" with head lights and grilles.

FWIW: a one piece aftermarket doghouse might save money as a DIY project, but is not original and could hurt resale value in the future.

A junkyard stock doghouse is the way to go and is likely to cost more. Installation is the same, but the panels will be GM.

A 69 original front clip will be hard to find and may be costly because of all the high horsepower cars being restored and needing an original clip for NCRS judging. Some will pay any price they don't care how much.

Default 69 front clip

Bought complete 69 front clip without hood and wiper door assembly for $2500. Has headlights, grills, bumper, bumperettes, radiator support, radiator, radiator cradle, bumper extension brackets, frame horn brackets, inner skirts. I was lucky enough to find one close to home and complete as they get. I was pricing out a new jig molded front assembly from Ecklers and that guy in Indiana that the NCRS crowd buys from and if I added all the goodies it would of run in excess of $6000. I lucked out! Keep looking they are out there.

Mike
