Mark... Usually the sales email at willcox@willcoxcorvette.com. But... in this case they are buried up to their hips trying to get the emails done from being down!
Let me take a look at it for you tomorrow. Heck.. let me log in and I'll look at it now for you.

Mark-
The loud pipe were the replacement pipes for the originals. When GM discontinued the exhaust pipes, reproductions became available but they did not have the correct baffle in them.
Then about two years ago, one of the manufacturers started making them with the correct baffles and thus you ended up with two different styles, loud and quite.
Quite pipes are closer to the sound of the original pipes... and to me.. the loud pipes.. well they are just to loud for me! I don't like them and in fact had a set on a car I own.
What is the benefit to these vs. after market pipes.. I guess that will depend on your taste to be honest. I like the factory pipes and there are others that like the Hookers. Factory pipes will bolt up to the stock exhaust manifolds where the aftermarket pipes will not. also.. I tend to stay away from hookers from the burn I got on my leg years ago.
Tough call on which one is better... My personal choice would be the stock quite pipes. I like the look and the sound of them.

Mark,
As compared to mufflers, either pipe will be more open flowing. As compared to the open style hooker pips or similar, they will be more restrictive. Are you building a super hi performance car? If not then I would go with the quite pipes.

Thanks for the reply.
No, I am not building a performance car - just purchased the car, '73 454 with rebuild engine HP cam. I do love loud pipes as I have a Harley with open pipe
However I will probably take your advice and buy the quiet ones, worse case scenario is they arent loud enough for me and I sell them on the forum and buy the loud ones.
Thank you for the feedback
