Default WTB: t-top stainless t-bar trim

For a 76. I'm just testing the waters here before another forum member gets back to me on whether he has one or not.

It needs to be in excellent condition, with no dings or deep scratches. Please post pics!

I learned the hard way that not all stainless T-Bar covers are the same. In actuality they have some significant differences on the front and the back of the T-Bar. To make sure you get the one you want I suggest you consider posting a picture of the one you have and asking any sellers to confirm they have what you want by picture confirmation.
I have a stunning, and I mean a stunning, stainless T-Bar cover I bought that I cannot use because it will not fit my 1971. If you have pictures of yours I can compare and send you a picture of mine to see if it will work for you. This one is as close to perfect as I have ever seen. Anyway, let me know if you would like to match it to your needs and I will carefully unpack it and photograph it.

I just confirmed using my AIM manuals from 1974 through 1978 that 1974 used part number 3986058 Center Support Reveal Molding; 1975 through 1978 used part number 345446 Center Support Reveal Molding, this includes your
1976. I cannot confirm 1979 because I do not have that AIM manual but if the seller has the 1979 AIM he might be able to confirm the part number he has for sale. Just an FYI to assist.

Let me know if Stinger doesn't want this one as I may be interested in it for that price. I can use it to practice buffing using my new equipment and see if I can make this one look good as new. Let me know.

Stinger, not intended to be a hijack of your thread. If you want this it is yours. If you do not then I would be interested in speaking with Bills69n84 about it. Thanks to you both.

You mentioned that you had an incredible one that you can't use. I'm trying to get the best one I can find. What were you looking for price wise for your stainless t-bar?

I had to go back to my parts and find the T-Tip Trim and then unpack it to take pictures of the part. I am sending you six pictures here to show it as I had it stored. I took it out of the box, untaped it, put it on my pool table and took some pictures. Hard to get good ones with the flash but here they are none the less. I have three of these, this one is by far my nicest one, the other two were not polished out like this one was.

I bought this part from Bair's during Corvettes at Carlisle in 2010. I had intended to use it on my 1971 project car "Sparty" but it was the wrong year. You can see my 1971 Barn Find on the Forum here, been running now since Labor day of 2009 or so. Anyway, Sparty could not use this part and Sparty will be a show car, so my search continued.

I paid $275 for this part from Bair's and had no ship because I brought it home with me. It is what I wanted for show condition. My thought was to use it on my 1977 when I get it painted in the next year or so, hadn't planned on selling it but if someone gives me what I paid for it then they can have it plus shipping. I suspect it is more than you are wanting to pay and I understand if that is true. As they say, it is what it is, nothing more, nothing less.

I also pulled out my other T-Top trim parts and realize now I need to get some buffing started on these parts and my four aluminum wheels too. So much to do, so little time.

Have a great New Years Stinger.

Three pictures of the trim parts all together.
I wish they all shined like that middle one does.

I looked for them, but I don't see them here. They could be at my folks place in Florida. I am going there this weekend. I will keep you posted.

Thanks,
Joel
