I'll see if I can post the link here.

Parting another '68 convertible C3 Parts for Sale/Wanted

Page 1 of 2 1 2 >

1960fi 05-18-2011 10:43 AM Parting another '68 convertible

Long story short:

Father and son purchase '68 convertible in need, realized that too many dollars were going to be needed to put in good condition, asked me to help sell.

Will post photos later. Link to photobucket: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v663/435rdster/Dannys%2068%20parting%2

Car and parts located in South Central Texas, near San Antonio.

Big items:

Update: Update: Update: Update:

Update on frame and suspension package.

Thanks to a fellow Forum member I have identified the supension package on this frame----
Vette Brakes and performance "SKU 42000" Full performance set----This is a $2,400.00 set up

Secondly, after closer inspection of the frame, this thing is beautiful/perfect powder coated. This is the type of frame condition the "big boys" advertise for $5,500.00 (new reproduction frames).

1) Powder coated frame (4 speed)--complete rolling chassis--
Has some type of high performance suspension package including Special A-Arms/drag link/tie rods/ball joints/sway bars/rear spring/rear camber adjusters/adjustable shocks/New S.S calipers/etc., etc.--

New price for the frame/suspension package-----$4,500.00

This is a steal. As stated above, this frame is in the condition of the $5,500.00 frames sold out of Michigan, then add the VBP Full Performance kit ($2,400.00), Total $7,900.00---then add labor/time.
There are new stainless steel calipers installed, new backing plates, pads, lines, etc..

You might like to check out Forward Air for a price quote on shipping. I had a frame shipped from TX to Florida and as I recall, it was a little over $400. For the price, it needs to be dropped off at their terminal and picked up at the destination terminal, and you need to build a suitable crate for the ride. If interested, I can send a photo of how mine was crated. http://www.forwardair.com/

I have a complete rolling chassis from my 1970 that I am getting ready to sell. I am about ready to put the body on my SRIII frame project. The Chassis is complete with running 350 hp 350 motor, 4 speed close ratio trani, posi rear end, etc. It is a great driving car and can be test driven before purchase. Let me know if you are interested.

I have bare frames here if you want to come take a look. Not that far away. We can make them a roller but not sure why you would want to if your looking to make it a pro street car.

Gruhala Enterprises has one that will be going to scrap, AFAIK. The upper control arm mounts will have to be repaired, but it seems to be straight and rust free. 1975 California car. The only rust I saw anywhere on it was the driver's side #4 body mount bolt. Probably had a mouse nest in there at one point. Passenger side bolt looked like new.

I have a complete rolling chassis/running gear for sale from my 1970 vette in nice condition. It has a 350hp 350 with muncie 4 speed and posi rear. It still has the body on it so if some wants to test drive it they can. I am ready to pull the body to install on my SRII project. Asking $6,500.

There's a complete 79 or 80 model (less engine) in the Dec Hemmings Motor News. Asking $3900. It's not mine.
