wanted 1978 rear spealer grills and grill carpet
Looking for 1978 rear spealer grills and grill carpet in silver (pace car) and possibly the brackets also... mainly the carpet for the speaker grills...can't seem to locate any place that sells the carpet for the grills...any help would be appreciated....Thanks

Melting Slicks
The carpet is simple cutouts to match the grill shape and the opening for the speaker. No special bindings or anything. All the supporting vendors sell the brackets and grill covers. I may have one but not both but new ones are not expensive.

called a number of vendors...no luck with speaker grill carpet...they only sell in complete sets...anyone have a idea of a vendor who might sell this...???

Reproduction brackets are available and you might actually find some NOS stock. To my knowledge, the grilles are not being reproduced.

grills and brackets not really the problem...finding the carpet that covers the grills...thats the problem...no one seems to sell just the carpet cover...I'm looking for the silver for the pace car...

Finally...was able to get carpet grill covers ordered....Bruce over at Corvette Parts World Wide was able to pull some strings and get one of the carpet manufacturers to make me up a separte pair for my Pace Car... :-)
