FS: JET Quadrajet $75.00
I bought this carb about 2 years ago and it's basically sit on my 454 and hardly run (possibly 200 miles). I'm not a tuning guy, so that is why I bought this carb thinking it was the best fix. However, the carb would run rich after the engine warmed up. I was told it was possibly a float bowl being too high, but I found the correct carb for my car and had it rebuilt by Lars. Just a fyi - - He will tell you that aftermarket carbs can be trash. Once i put the carb Lars rebuilt, i have not had the loading up running rich problems and no other changes have been made.
So not trying to ruin the sale but to keep good faith - to me it sucks, but if someone that's not running a 454 with a 510 roller cam and can tune this may be a good deal. I've put a price of $75.00 on this which is far less than original cost, and if it works great. If not, 75.00 to keep yourself busy for a weekend or two
This carb does have an electric choke, and when I had it looked at a guy adjusted the choke thinking that would help. Either way, it's probably good for someone that knows how to tune these carbs.
