Default WTB 68 Doors

Hi guys,

Looking for a decent set of 68 doors. As complete as possible. Don't really need the glass. Hopefully something as close as possible to Delaware. Traveling a few hours is no problem, just trying to avoid the whole shipping mess.
Thanks in advance, John

Judging by the mirror position on the left front door (providing the door is original to the car) this would be an early model '68. Is the center gauge cluster bezel any good (not broken at the thin part) and no cut out for aftermarket radio and is OEM with no wiper override button (blocked out). I would be interested. PM sent. Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong - the door panels are late model '68 versions.

Coupe or convertible?
Roll up or power window?
Likely ship via Greyhound for $50.00--$60.00 per.

Hi George, Convertible but glass is not necessary. What I need are are doors as rust free as possible and as complete as possible, (again, glass is the only part not really needed). Please pm me a price. Thanks, john

Hi Joe, not ruling him out. I sold a nice set of 68 doors here on the forum a few years ago for $350 (too cheap I guess). I'd be comfortable around 500 for the set. Maybe a bit more. I guess I should just call him and offer that. The shipping is also a big factor. Thanks again! John

Good evening, John

Awhile back there was a guy in Ontario advertising a driver's door (shell) for a '68. Looked clean from what I can remember. I will see if I can dig up his name and contact # as I purchased a left front GM NOS fender from him for $100.00 plus shipping. Who knows - he might still have the door and needs it gone. I might even have a pic of it as I was interested in it. I will check my files.

Regards, BK3

John,
What can it hurt, make him an offer, tell him to keep the glass if you do not need it. He told me he would box up the doors and ship greyhound.
Of course get pics first, but from the limited pics I saw they looked nice.

John,
I don't think I can help you for that price.
As you know, every part of a '68 door is unique--the lock mech, the push button assembly, the trim ring, the outer handle, the regulator, the door frame and skin, the alignment shims, the window wipes/seals, and (I know you don't need it) the glass.

I ask $500.00 per for nice, rust free, good fiberglass, operating condition complete '68 doors, subtract $100.00 for glass. Includes window wipes/seals, but these are usually just serviceable---more $'s for nos pieces.

IMHO, if a person has a nice '68 with the wrong doors, the $ difference is well worth the additional expense.

Have two good doors unfortunately they are attached to my 68 lol . If you know anyone looking for a nice 68 project let me know .I found a nice original 68 rear valance locally here and now converting the car back to rear exhaust waiting for one press molded piece from Willcox .shifter counsel and back up lights worked out fine. All the fires around us out, getting back to normal and wife is doing much better .
