OK,
I think I have finally located a suitable original fan clutch for my 69' L46. It needs rebuild, but more importantly it is missing the original thermal metal strip off the front of the clutch.
So, if anyone has a trashed/non-rebuildable old original clutch that I could purchase the thermal metal strip from it would be greatly appreciated.

Is a 68 327 the same as your 69 350?

I believe as far as the metal thermal strip it is. There are some differences in some of the clutch bodies, hub sizes etc, but the strip is the same. Of course if it the schweitzer type clutch. I think as long as it is not the thermal wound spring type.
