Default CF postal service. Help moving parts

Seeing what kind of response and interest there is for a forum brethren shipping aid.
This would be strictly for member to member purchases. No Ebay or Craigslist purchases. No COD's for purchases. And definitely no contraband.
I would think parties involved would help compensate the person traveling with the item(s)
Say if you're travelling across the country and have a little space in your trunk, trailer, even carry bag. Would you mind hauling along an item another CF member has purchased from another member? Hopefully the parties selling and buying would not inconvenience the person who is assisting by hauling the item.

What is the forum consensus?

As a for instance I purchased a set of rear louvers from a member in N.J. I'm in Phoenix Az. If someone is trailering a car or moving and has room & headed this direction would you mind hauling these for me. Even if your coming within 300 miles of me I'd be willing to meet you. I'm willing pay you for your trouble.

Great idea.
I did a little of that on impromptu basis when I was a sales rep in the MW.
Retired now.

Count me in.
Great for moving big bulky stuff that would cost a fortune thru the regular channels.

I 2nd that!
A nice gesture from one member to another.
I would gladly participate for another member if I could be of help.
I try to make Carlisle each year so I could drop off an item to another member if someone left it with me.

I typically post that I am traveling and have some room and have success about 20% of the time. Something more formal and more reliable would be welcomed and I am all for it sir.

I also think there are key shows throughout the year that can and have become "hubs of exchange" in past years such as Spring Carlisle, Fall Carlisle, GM Carlisle, and of course Corvettes at Carlisle. Others?

Look forward to hearing more and again, great idea.

Hey David.
You ever make it back to GA (northeast area - hr east of Atl)....feel free to stop by.

I follow what you do in the Parts section and I like your style.

Besides I grew up in Jersey so we have that NE thing in common....

If I am getting down that way I will definitely check in with you.

Sounds great David.
Sounds like you had a nice road trip.

I have a feeling this is a long shot but if anyone is going from or through Dallas to Phoenix ( or within a 100 mile or so radius) I'm wanting to purchase the rear clip from forum member Bighead. If you have the space and are making the trip this direction I would compensate for your troubles.
Thanks in advance.

I live about 800 yard from the NY/Quebec, Canada border, 45 minutes south of Montreal and 2 miles from Vermont. I can offer a staging/storage point and often receive packages for my Canadian buddies.

My vehicle storage is limited to outside but it comes in handy for the required 72hr import wait requirement for Canadians importing vehicles. Located in Champlain, NY just off I-87 the NYC-Montreal corridor.

Have no problem even being a transfer or staging point. I'm not on this forum very much...just send me an email: BorderDrop at yahoo dot com.

Ed

To all you East Coasters here............

I am taking my truck from NE Georgia (Athens) up to Virginia Beach, VA sometime the middle of June for a one week fishing trip.

I will be going thru GA, SC, NC (eastside) and SE Virginia. Probably stopping in Richmond to see a cousin also.

If any of you have some big, bulky and even heavy stuff you need picked up or delivered, just let me know. Truck will be pretty empty unless I score big on the fishing.....

PM me here or text my cell 706-255-1574.

Hope you all had a safe Memorial Day...........

Peace

Bman (Dennis)

Hey Pete.....

Sounds good. Always nice to meet a CF member.
May catch you on the way up or the way back the following week.
I'll have a laptop so I'll let you know when it gets closer to happening.
Txs for the invite.
Dennis
