I have been looking on ebay for panels for my 2nd build.
Picked this one up for $116 inc shipping.
They are out there.
Good luck with your search

Priya.
Just picked up a passenger door off ebay 70-76 style.
Has a few small cracks in armrest that will be easy to fix.
Will SEM dye both doors now with black paint.
Got this door for $125 shipped. Has the chrome trim on it also.
I see 78-82 doors all day long on ebay in great shape and better prices than the older stuff. I think the abundance has driven down the price.
Saw a pair in Washington state. Closer to you.
Good luck....

Dennis, I've been watching ebay but the silver door panels I see for sale are in quite poor shape. I could buy some oyster door panels and dye them but none of those I've seen for sale are in good shape either. I see the same beat up panels for sale week after week which is no surprise to me because why would anyone want to buy beat up door panels when they could buy new ones that may not fit very well but would be in much better overall condition.
There may be other colour door panels but they really need to have silver carpet on the bottom or they aren't good candidates to dye silver, hence I'm only looking at silver and oyster door panels. Once again, I'm kicking myself for selling my excellent OEM oyster door panels.

Dennis, I've been searching ebay for "78 Corvette door panel". I just tried searching for each year in turn and more panels are coming up that I hadn't seen. Found this one:

Its tempting but I'm hoping for something a little nicer.

The other thing I would suggest is that on ebay...change the title of your search around. I have seen different results if I title with "C3", or 1978, or 78-82, etc etc. Not all sellers include enough "keywords" to trigger a hit. Like I said, your needs are for later years where there are more of, plus they are not as old.
Good luck my CF friend.....
Plus you can always remove the carpet and glue on a perfect match on both sides. I took the upper carpet off a driver's door and put on the wood panels I picked up a pair for only $30.

I don't think I'm up to replacing the carpet on the door panels so I'm sticking with looking at the silver and oyster ones. Once I expanded my search to each of the years in turn I found some silver panels that were getting close to what I'm looking for, I feel with time there's a good chance I'll find something with the more expansive search terms. The silver panels I saw that were tempting had very beat up inner plastic, if there were a way to repair that I'd be a lot more inclined to buy them. I'm pretty sure fiberglass won't stick to the plastic but maybe there's another way I'll think of. I've had some luck in putting fiberglass cloth over the plastic and using a soldering gun to melt the cloth into the plastic. That might be feasible but on some of the planets pieces of the plastic backing are missing altogether.
Thanks for the suggestions Dennis!

So, now I'm looking for an 81 silver driver's door panel and pull although I suppose I'd still consider a matching pair in good condition.

I tried each year individually and found a few more. Then I put in "Corvette C3 door panel" and found an apparently excellent shape (as seen in quality photo) 81 silver passenger door panel and pull from a 16,000 mile car which I bought - thanks for the suggestion again! IF I had realized the shortcomings of my previous searches perhaps I'd have been able to buy the matching driver's side door panel, shame that it didn't work out that way.

I am going to be working on a couple of t-top liners and one door panel with cracks to see if I can make a good repair (non-bubba).
I have looked at several youtubes and Eastwood's video for their kit. Some possibilities there.
Amazing how much others have tried and succeeded and now shared the info.
Much like your project.
Carry on!

Thanks Dennis
Yes, I thought so as well at first but then saw the back side of the driver's door panel is in very poor shape. The reason I decided not to go with new repros is that I've heard lots of people say they don't fit well so I decided the back of the original door panels needs to be solid as well or I may as well just by the repros. Thanks for looking though.
