Shipping to another country might negate the offer. Figured in the continental U.S.

Hi jebby,
The curved plate has a threaded hole and it gets inserted into the crossmember through either side upper spring pocket to get it into position.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,
what is the body filler you would recommend for filling in the small dents in the cross member that the tool can't remove?

Hi cs,
I 'touched-up' the front crossmember on my 71 using bondo.
I'm not really proud of that approach but it seemed like a workable solution since I don't think any area was deeper than 1-1/16" thick, and the areas of needed coverage were small.
Keeping the paint on the flatter side of semi-flat helps to hide any imperfections too!
Regards,
Alan

I waited to long to deal with the dents. I should have repaired it years ago when the frame was upside down. Next time I'll know!

A while back there was a floater tool that a member would ship out, you would pay a small rental fee and the shipping cost . I used it once, then eventually shipped it back. I am not sure if that members is still around.
