Hi Lyle,
No it wasn't, the 71 shield was a bit different in configuration than the one shown in rvr's photo..
Note the additional cut out areas on the 74 shield.
This is the original shield.

I was thinking their was extra cut outs on the 74. Still looking for one like Alan"s picture.
