WTB - Body Dolly?
I'll likely make one, but I thought I'd ask the forum... Does anyone have a body dolly that they'd like to sell for a reasonable price and that's located in the Northern VA area?
I'm working specifically on the rocker channel and #2 mounts, so it would appear based on measurements that the "design" that's going around would be right in the way?
The other thing I'm considering is something that would lift the body above the chassis. I'm in a two car garage, but it's limited space. If none are out there, pictures of what you've done would be helpful - especially if it was for rocker repair!
Thanks!

Hi n,
I don't know if you're thinking of a steel or wood dolly.
The wood dolly I built was purposely made with the uprights that support the body at each of the mounts being removable individually for the very reason you stated in your post.
2 carriage bolts in each up right.
Maybe?
I worked in a 12' wide garage and built a rack to support the body next to the chassis while I restored it.
Regards,
Alan
You can see just a small portion of the rack and body in the background.

Hi n,
One other thing:
You can proportionally increase or decrease the height of all the uprights to have the body be at the height you'd like it to be when you're working under it.

Alan
