FYI , I took a 10 spline shaft and machined it down to JUST fit the fine spline clutch and it works great.

Hey Bill.
The T56 input shaft is a 26 spline also.
I have a brand new LS1 shaft that I am going to use in my rebuild of the 97 Camaro T56 I have in my storage building.
You are welcome to use it....just need it back when I do the transmission upgrade....LOL

Are you needing any help with the clutch and trans install?
I have until Dec 18 before my elbow surgery to help.
Otherwise I will just be carrying the input shaft only to your house....lol
