FS - Chrome Roll Bar
SOLD!!!
This chrome roll bar was in my 70 convertible when I bought it. I do not know who made it or where it came from. I have searched the internet and have not been able to find one like it. I removed it from my car to perform an NCRS restoration.
It is in good drivers condition and looks good installed. The part that shows above the deck lid is in good condition with only minor scratches. The part in the storage compartment has some chrome missing and there is fiberglass resin stuck to it where it was glassed in.
You do have to cut four holes in your fiberglass in the storage compartment to install it and drill eight holes thru the frame. The bolts used to install it are included. You do not have to cut or modify the deck lid and the convertible top will go up over it.
I am asking $550 plus shipping.

I'm building mine now and you just gave me the perfect mounting solutions that I had yet to finalize. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'll be powder coating mine black and yours can be powder coated any color someone would want if they don't want to chrome it. Yours is very nice and if I had not gotten this far with mine, well, I'd jump on it.
Good luck with your sale. Very nice.

I am in contact with friends from Houston now to see if they could pick it up for me and get it to a gentleman who is coming up to NJ from Texas the first of February. Might be a tough logistic to solve, but I am trying.
Wish me luck.

Oh no David,
What are you up to now?
I can not wait to see your red racer this springtime hopefully at a cruise nite down at Lowes again.
It looks amazing from the threads and pictures you have shared so far.
After Sparty being so correct a racer was definitely in order for your next build.
Can't wait to see her!
Happy New Year

Dang David, its to bad it already shipped, it would have fit in my SUV....well actually I'd have made room for it. I thought you had bought a 5 point or 6 point NHRA style bar. I'm sorry we didn't get together on it....it would have made good company for the C5 roof I am bringing back to NJ for my buddy, which was brought down to Texas from Canada. Talk about long distance pickups......LOL
