WTB: 1970 L46 OEM Valve covers
#2
Hi Bob - Did you find a set? I know this post is over a month old.
I have a pair of L46 covers off of my '70 L46 that I cannot use. Unfortunately for some working on a 100% original restoration, I recently had these powder coated silver as I intended to use them on my car. They look fantastic - new grommets, new emblem, original filler cap.
Let me know if you are still looking. I can post pics tonight if interested.

One photo on the bench, one on the motor.
They are near perfect - one has a few "outgassing bubbles" along the top edge that you can feel with your hand (not uncommon when coating aluminum, evidently). I have a set of cork gaskets already glued in place, so those are new as well.
It's a shame I can't use them on my setup. The drippers are still intact.
THE INTERNAL BAFFLES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

"Improved" to 368hp? very nice.
I just finished a rebuild on my L46 motor to 355 and put in a Howard's roller with Dart SHP heads. Dynoed yesterday with 391hp and 400lbft of tq from 3100 all the way to 5100 rpm. Should pull really nice, and I can gas up with 91 octane. I can't wait to get it in the car. Quite a few hours of "re-engineering" getting all the aftermarket "better" parts to fit.

A little dirty but is correct. Just clean them up and it will just be like original.
Has the correct 3 inch slats on both valve covers not like so called LT1 valve covers that are GM replacements with a 3 inch and a 5 inch slats
The drippers have been taken off. I got these as is.
165.00 shipped
