Power Steering Conversion
I decided to convert my 77 power steering to manual steering, so I have for sale what you need to convert to factory power steering. The parts were all new or overhauled when I finished my restoration last June. I put 4200 miles on them since last year:
- New VBP power Steering Cylinder - Stainless cylinder - with new rubber bushings and hardware
- Steering cylinder frame bracket , powdercoated cast and attach hardware
- Rebuilt VBP power control valve - painted black
- Rebuilt power steering pump - powdercoated black with pulley attached.
- Power steering pump attach brackets (2) for SBC, powdercoated black, and attach hardware
- Power steering belt
- New hoses (4)
- Pitman arm - powdercoated cast - Does not include nut and lock washer
I can get pictures if needed, but it all looks great.
The only part I did not list was the power steering pulley, which is still attached to my harmonic damper.
I want $600 plus shipping - REDUCED TO $500
ADDED PICTURES - SEE BELOW

Safe to say you add the price for all these parts added up, $500 is a deal.

I need to finish the interior (waiting on back order parts) and then finish installing the half shafts/rear suspension, and exhaust before I can buy parts for another step in the restoration.
I'll reach out in the next few weeks as i finish these projects and see if its still available.

Oh absolutely.....Sorry did not mean to offend, this is a steal. My power stearing needs completely redone, but its just not currently at the top of the list.

thats what i was thinking and thus the joke about installation being included. I am finding that with my car, take whatever time you think it should take and double it. Every single bolt is rusted and a pain in the but to get off. I am currently trying to replace the half shafts, and the nuts on the strap to diff are averaging about an hour a piece to get off. its been brutally slow.
