Default Alternator Housing

Anybody have one of these alternator housings? Note the position of the ground bolt and where the connector are. 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock.

Pikeslayer, it looks like you have a 69 ONLY rear alternator housing. I have a 69 and the clocking position has the power connector at the 12 o'clock position. I can't see anything wrong with your alternator other then it being clocked incorrectly 90 degrees counter clockwise!

I have a 69, 1100825 alternator with the correct clocked position. PM your email address if you'd like a picture of it.

dont you just remove the 4 screws and rotate the housing 90 degrees to get it to the position that you need it?

is your car a 70? if so it should have the raised rectangle boss
but if your car is an early 69 build then it maybe possible without the Boss

Yes, pull 4 bolts use paper clip to hold brushes and reassemble in any clock position you want.
