Default 3974015 Light Grey 1970 454 Fan Shroud

Looking to purchase an Early 1970 Light Grey 3974015 LS5 Fan Shroud.
I'd also be willing to trade a perfect condition 3956119 Fan Shroud.

Here is an example of what I'm looking for.

THANKS. My 70 454 with AC 4-speed has the same shroud is in the picture & at the AZ. NCRS regional they said its not factory correct. Corvette has only 46,000 MI bought form the original owner & has only had a engine rebuild & a new radiator. My car is SN 7604. It is a conv. with every option except deluxe interior, shoulder belts & wheel covers. I did get a Top Flight though witch is had for Corvette that is not a body off & all the options working including the rear window defog. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH.

Your car most definitely should have the light grey fan shroud.
Judge should've known that.

I'm heading to Carlisle next week. If you would like to PM me your contact details I can put it on my shopping list and see if I can locate one at the show, if you are not going. I have eight guys using me to find parts for them now, easy to add this to the list. Good luck with your search. David

Rayhawk ,

I have a 3974015 fan shroud that I would like to trade for your 3956119 fan shroud. It came off my February 4, 1970 BB convertible which has no sign of having A/C except this fan shroud. I don't know if this is original or a replacement as I got minimal paperwork with my car when I bought it.

Here are some pictures:

Thanks,
Allen

Thank you for the offer, however the shroud you have is not the light grey shroud I'm looking for.

The one you have is made from the same material as the 119 shrouds

That's fine.

The more I am reading on the NCRS forum; the more confusing it becomes.

It appears that the 015 shroud was used on both A/C and non A/C cars in early 1970. I have a 2664 serial number, so I think I am going to keep my fan shroud.

The light grey shrouds appear to be very intermittent, so it appears you are fine with light or dark grey in early 1970. But it does appear an A/C car should have the 015 fan shroud.

Good luck with your hunt,
Allen
