Default 1977 Only Tilt/Tele Steering Column

I am all set now folks, thank you for your assistance.
David

Looking for a 1977 only Tilt/Tele Steering Column. Color not important, I can dye it to match. I do not have cruise control on my original manual car so I am looking for a tilt/tele column without cruise control if you have one but will consider your cruise version if the price is reasonable. I don't need a steering wheel either, have that already and shipping without the steering wheel is less expensive. Also do not want a collapsed column please.

Unlikely any of you have this but worth a try.

Please let me know if you have what I am looking for and thank you for looking.

Best regards,

David Howard

62 views, no comments, ugh. I figured it would be hard to find, but not this hard, be we will see.

I'll do a search on eBay, that might help.

Let me know if you have one please.

Thank you.

Can you send some details and pictures to me? Either here, by PM, or at my email AllVettes4Me@gmail.com. How much would shipping be to 18045? Color? Features? Condition? The more data the better. Thank you. David

Just curious David, is it the switch you need?

I believe the one that was used in certain year Chevy Chevettes can be
used after some minor alterations.

If you need a certain part from a 77 column, I have a few that have been taken apart if you are interested.

It might be the tilt switch only John, yes. I have the column in and the PO broke off the tilt handle in the switch. If that switch can be found and a new handle I might be back in business with my T/T. Good thought. Thank you.

Thank you. The tilt lever is broken off on my t/t and a screw was put in it so I will need a tilt mechanism and the handle as well. Would you happen to have one or both?

Thanks for your note.

You can see what was added here and what I am wanting to replace. I may need a new lower cover too, not sure yet, column still in the car.

Unfortunately David it was the directional, wiper, high beam switch I was referring to from the Chevette that guys have modified, not the tilt.

Looks like your tilt is fine, but the turn signal switch, cover etc. I KNOW I have a good turn signal switch and probably a lower housing. Ill get pics for you on Monday

Good catch, I wasn't paying close enough attention. I'd be interested in both if you have them. Thank you very much. David

Turns out the lower housing I have from the 77 column has a break at the bottom. If you think you can fit it, let me know. As for the turn signal switch, here is a pic.

I have located and purchased the turn signal switch and now, thanks to all for the help. I will be looking for a cover to repair this one too once I get it out of the car, but that can wait for now.
Thanks again for your help.
David
