It does, but it is a much larger can and needs to be kept open to be effective. Unlike paint, it dries out if it is not used and becomes a new product called impatience. I already have plenty of that.
By the way, on a slightly more serious note, this manifold is powder coated and not painted, hence the near perfect surface. They do engines as well but I didn't think of that before putting the engine back together.
Looks like the intake may become a piece of wall art. I may mount a Quadrajet to it and then hang it on the wall in my garage along with other items I have accumulated over time that will unlikely ever make it back onto a car. We'll see.

Not really. Just retired and like to keep busy. My wife wants me to convert my old "flex plate" from my transmission into a clock for the garage. I am laying it out now and will have the plate powder coated when finished to make it look nice.
Just having fun in retirement.

Back to the top. If you are within 75 miles of 18045 I might just bring it to you.

Melting Slicks
Hey David, do you have any l82 intakes off of a say like 76??? Would this help my l48 enough to put it on instead of the l48 intake? Or would it be a waste of muny??

If I wanted more from my L-48 engine I would probably change out the heads; the intake; and add a mild cam. Intake alone, in my opinion, isn't going to get you a lot more performance.
Now swap your L-48 out with a newly built 383 Stroker and, well, now you have something bolder pulling your baby around town.
Have a great weekend.

Parts organized and staged, inventoried now. Helps me keep track of my car project parts and where they are located rather than digging.
This took me a while to complete and it is not perfect, but it helps.
Also getting my parts ready for my build too. Fun to lay them out and make plans.
Parts are on order to finish the upper and lower control arms, spindles, half shafts, etc. Once my frame is done I can begin to assemble the chassis. Can't wait.
