Looking for a choke cover for a 69 big block q jet car. These are repopped but I'd rather have original. This is the little metal box that covers the choke coil spring

I have had originals and reproductions side by side. I can't tell them apart.

Some factory might have been cad plated but can't tell that either. I suspect that since so much was cad plated from those era.

I think you are correct
originals are cad and repop is zinc
got to find my stash of originals....lol
Also the indentation on the side with the little line is more pronounced on originals
