Default 1967 Rolling Chassis, modified. Complete or part out. Tom's 12 bolt, Steeroids

I know this is a C2 frame but with some modifications this can be used with a C3. Do your research as I don't know what exactly need to be done. I know that all of the parts aside from the frame are compatible with C3's up to 1979. Do your research first as I'm not responsible for incompatibility issues.

I have my 1967 modified Roadster chassis up for sale or part out as I've decided to go in a different direction. California car with no accidents, rust repair (or rust for that matter) and it's straight. The motor that was going into this car is an 800+ hp big block so the modifications were made with that in mind.

The rear frame rails have been notched about 1.5"-2" so you can use a wider wheel with a deeper offset with no quarter panel modifications. We also gusseted the frame rail internally for strength. The shock mounts and bump stop brackets were put back in their original locations. When the wheels are on you will not be able to see the modification. Additional stitch welding was also done on the frame. The sombrero mounts have been reinforced with plate, not just on the outside but on the inside as well (see pictures). The cross-member is now removable with tubing through the inside so the bolts won't crush it when tightening the bolts. The factory fuel line access through the frame was slightly enlarged and internally windowed through the added gussets to allow a 1/2" fuel line that I was going to use as a return line. Other then the rear frame rails, crossmember and additional welding the frame is stock. The frame has been powder coated satin black. No miles on the frame since powder coating. ---SOLD----

Tom's 12 bolt posi rear end w/3.73 gears, 1480 axle kit, rebuilt offset trailing arms with slip fit bearings, 30 spline axles and 1/2" wheel studs (5/8" available if wanted), spare 1480 u-joints. Aluminum rear end cross-member locator kit. Stainless parking brake hardware and new shoes. Zero miles on rear end and trailing arm bearings since rebuild. $5500

Steeroids rack and pinion steering setup (800 miles). $850

Vette brakes upper and lower tubular A-arms with transverse front spring and a new spare leaf spring (800 miles).
Vette brakes rear dual mount transverse spring (800 miles). SOLD

Herb Adams front and rear sway bars with Heim joint ends. There is some over-spray on the end links that can be cleaned off with some steel wool and a couple of storage marks on the bars. The bars were powder coated to match the frame. SOLD

Herb Adams rear strut rod bracket and strut rods with Heim joint ends. SOLD

Stainless brake lines run (just the ones that needed to be run with the body off). SOLD

1/2" stainless fuel line run in the factory position that I was going to use as a return line (not shown in pictures). SOLD

Koni Classic shocks, frt and rear (800 miles). $175

4 15" x 6" (3 are DC and I think 1 is a YS but need to confirm) Rally wheels with good rubber. $400

4 stock calipers (one leaked, so the seals should be replaced), brake rotors, stainless rear caliper brake lines etc. I believe I also have two new rear brake rotors. Misc stuff like drive shaft, clutch hardware, gas tank etc. SOLD

The chassis was put back together minus the engine and trans, wrapped in plastic sheet and the bare body was set back on it. The body isn't torqued down as we're still doing body work. The chassis is ready to run with the exception of an alignment, the final brake lines and 1 brake caliper. I was going to go with aftermarket brakes which is why the brakes were not done.

This is the perfect chassis for someone that doesn't care about numbers and wants to drive their car car hard or keep your stock chassis and have a complete "can handle" whatever HP chassis to play with while not modifying your original one.

Parts are located in the SF Bay Area SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED. If interested or you have any questions please let me know. I have many more pictures available, thanks for looking.

When I spoke to them the only difference between the big block and small block setups are the P/S hoses. I was going to run it as a manual steering rack where you just loop the rack hoses. I may still have the hoses that came with it but I'd have to look, so best to assume you'd have to get the two hoses (any auto parts store). Hope this helps.

Love the idea of bracketing the tranny crossmember. Was going to buy one from Paragon, but I can do what you have without spending $ 400.00 +. Thank you !
