I need a 4 speed backup lamb switch for my 78.

It's the original L82 with the original trans which I believe is a Muncie m21

OK, I do not have that. I have the L-48 4 speed switches that screw into the trans itself. Sorry, Joe

Mine screws on to the side of the trans also it should look like this

Good Morning, If you haven't found the backup switch parts you need, The above vender looks to have everything needed. FYI GM switched from the Muncie (7 bolt side cover) the the BorgWarner Super T-10 (9 bolt side cover) in March of 1974, so unless the transmission in your have been switched it should have a BorgWarner Super T-10. Along with the above bracket, there is the actual switch, and a link from the switch to the reverse lever and 2 clips required. The reverse lever should have a small hole for the link.
