Default L-88, LT1 Long Hood

I may have stated this incorrectly. What I was looking for may best be described as a 1974 big block LS4 hood.
If anyone has parted out a 74 with a big block power plant then I believe the hood would have been the style I am seeking.
Sorry for any confusion.

I am not looking for one that needs a bunch of repair.
I am looking for one that can be or is stripped of paint and can be restored.
I am able to drive within about 150 miles of my home at 18045 to pick a good candidate up.
Please supply pictures and prices for me to review.
Thank you for your assistance.
David Howard

I have some long hoods. I think I have L88 long and another one. I’ll check, they’re in the back of the garage.

What does a 1974 big block hood look like ? I looked at pictures on google and the pictures that came up look like the hood looks the same as a small block except for having 454 on the side. So is there a size difference from a small block hood ?

I think you are correct. I am going to bag this search for now and do more homework. There were only L-48, L-82, and LS-4 available so I have to check and see if there were different hoods or one hood for all three.
Thank you.

73 and later Vettes all had the same hoods regardless of engines.

I have a long hood L88 but I don’t know if it was for a 68-72 with wiper door removed or a 73 and later long hood. Some have said that the corners are different and won’t match up because the 68-72 used the SS trim on the fenders to level out with doors and hood. Is there anyway to tell by looking at the hood corners? I never put this hood on my 69 and it’s in for paint this winter. I would like to help David out but want to make sure it fits his 74.

Thanks!

David; I know the factory 73-75 hoods are somewhat taller than 70-72 and have a vacuum operated functional hood scoop.

Thanks to all for helping. I am going to stick with the stock 74 hood that I have as it will clear what I want to do.
Thank you for looking.

Hi - has this hood been sold? Have you determined if it is a long style - looks it to me.

Didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, if I did.
