NIB OEM T Tops for C3 - Silver - $1000 OBO
My wife's mother passed away, while cleaning out the house we ran across these in the basement. One still in plastic the other in very good condition. Even the seals seem supple. Has instruction sheet on how to set tops. Her father owned a Corvette and think he got them somehow.
These aren't repop's I believe these to be OEM's, it definately looks like the box sat in water at some time, but the tops are fine.
They are gorgeous, the one in plastic is pert near perfect, the other one out of the plastic has some light surface scratches probably from being slid in & out of the box.
The instruction sheet says "For years 1968 thru 1977", this tell me he got them in 1977, since they will fit Corvettes thru 1982.
$1000 OBO
Due to the scammers out there I'd prefer to do this as cash, possibly Venmo. The original box is "crispy" so I wouldn't ship it in that box. I'd prefer face to face transaction. I live in the Detroit area.
I've posted pictures of the tops here https://www.corvetteforum.com/g/album/13907948

Jamie,
you have what looks like a mix of parts. there are 2 different styles of T tops- early (double latch 68-77) and late (single latch 78-82)
first, the actual tops pictured appear to be the later style single latch, meaning 78-82.
second, the directions pictured say 68-77, which doesnt match the picture of the T Top posted.
third, the directions and the box say "Moon Roof" which is the aftermarket glass style top, not the painted tops pictured.

Granted, I'm looking at this on my little phone, but it looks to me like you've got the original t-tops that came off the car in moon roof boxes, so I'm guessing the moon roofs went with the car.

A moon roof wouldn't go on a T Top car would it? I thought maybe he had bought the clear tops for the car and put away the originals possibly. We haven't had the chance to dig thru old photo's yet so I could tell what he possibly did. My wife doesn't remember.

So I do have Original equiptment T Tops (Proper terminology?) from his Silver Anniversary Corvette (I know that's the Corvette he owned).
I would have to guess he bought the clear tops almost right away because of the condition these are in.
Should I repost these to eliminate confusion? Is $1000 an appropriate price for these?
Thanks for the comments and advice

OK this all makes sense now. I have always known these as T Tops - 2 panes (glass or body colored) that attach to a thin roof panel down the middle. I've always known a Moonroof as pane of glass that runs over the passenger and drivers heads that retracts in between the headliner and roof panel. These days these are simply referred to as Sunroofs, these used to be called Moonroofs. But in Corvette-land it seems Clear T Tops are referred to as Moonroofs.

If they were mine, I would ask $450 considering the condition and the fact that the interior pads look to be in fantastic shape.

I have a new post with them for $500 OBO.
This kind of reminds me of the Wayne Gretzky rookie card we also found in her parents house. Some are worth a fortune, but this one has a slightly offset border. Worth $200. I decided to keep it.
Now I have no use for T Tops from a 1978 - 1982 Corvette, but I bet a friend or family member might know someone. I'll give em a deal for lack of headache.
