Hello, I'm looking for a used 427 hood and cowl set up.... the guy that owned the car prior put a L88 long style hood and I want to go back to stock appearance. The mechanism that opens and closes the cowl to allow the wipers to work is also missing and I'd need that too. Thanks so much, Paul

68 has an early and later version for the hood, vented grill and the stainless wiper door trim

not sure what the assembly date of your car is
check on the door side on the trim tag

not sure if you want to go correct or something that will fit

i have parts for an early 68 car and possible a hood for a 68 but have to check

I have a stock 68-69 427 hood.
Not sure if it's an early or late version.

Gents,

Thanks for the replies to my post.... I am looking for all of the components as shown in the pic of the yellow C3. Hood with trim, grill and the wiper cowl. Also, If possible the ram that operates the wiper cowl, but I may be able to buy a new one? I'm not sure if my car is early or later production... the trim plate is badly obscured by paint and abuse.

For reference my car is shown below in white.

Your vin number will also tell you the approximate build date of your car. You should be able to figure it out by the last four or five numbers.

I'm suspecting its a late 68 given 28,566 were made and my vin is in the very high teens. The car does not have the original motor so that is not an option to help.
