Just like the other Parts for Sale forums...
List your asking price.. This is not ebay or let's guess your price. None of us have time to go back and forth guessing. This is not pointed at anyone, just a simple request....Thanks, Buddy
Also, thanks to the guys putting "ebay" in there title. It is a time saver.

I agree in general. For most parts in my listing I stated a price.
For a couple of items I really didn't have a good value for or were not original parts like an older post radio from White Westinghouse I asked anyone interested to make an offer. As far as I'm concerned any reasonable offer over a couple of bucks is gonna take that kind of stuff home!
Just my .02

Make an offer, is something you do when you have pics and/or there to look at it. For example your frame that is for sale, No one on this forum would ever offer $7500 for it. Not because it not worth it, but because most of us see frames all day for $400. All we are going to do is pi$$ you off with low ball offers. Sorry just my .02

When I am in the market to buy anything. Corvettes, parts, House, real estate, boats. The first thing I look for is the price. When no price is given, I never waste my time. I move right to the next ad.
The moderators on this forum have posted the requirements for ads in the For Sale sections several times. The first requirement is always give the price.

Budman, if you read the ad it say restored rolling chassis not frame. You cannot even buy the trailing arm for $400. Bama, you need to break your habbit of that. I did the same thing for a long time, however I was in the used parts (Corvette only) for a long time, and you can find some very interesting deals by asking. The great thing about it for me when I was buying something is allot of people did the same thing as you. Which left the parts to me to buy. Someone that is serious will inquire, and someone that is just shopping will not. I am looking for someone who needs this to fix a car, not someone who thinks they can make a dollar on it. Just as an example, 5 years ago I answered an ad for a 69 Corvette with no price or description. When I showed up it was a 300/auto but it had been in storage since 1980. It had 4 flat tires and obviously would not start but it was an all original 39,000 mile car. Without making an offer I ended up buying the car for $1200. I resold the car a month later and it ended up in Carlisle that same year with the paint buffed and running for $11,000. Always inquire.

I wouldn't bore you with the deals I have made on Corvettes and Corvette parts over the last 40 years. You wouldn't believe me anyway.
At my age, I am not about to change.

I wouldn't say that I would not believe you. All I was saying you need to be able to read between the lines. I look at everything price or not, well maybe not everything, only stuff that interestes me.

Well, like Bama and others... I'm of the opinion that one should just list a price. I tend to be like him in the sense that if a price isn't listed, I'm more than likely not going to bother. IMO, the seller is responsible for setting the price and letting the buyer determine if it's reasonable.... pretty simple economics if you ask me.
And just personally... I know how I am when purchasing things.... so if I'm selling, I don't want people (like myself) to not even sniff what I have to offer just because I didn't list a price.
