what have i started???????
well working onthe vette for the past three months in my concrete block garage has not exactly been a warming experience so now that i have the vette under control i am taking the bull my the horns and insulating my garage....what have i started????....i have a large two car garage with a 7 1/2' addition on the side....the wood, drywall and insulation get delivered on Monday....the Mrs is away with the youngest daughter on the winter school break and i have the two boys here as slave labor....no work no food....let the disorganization begin
heres the empty space on the side

and this is where most of it got moved to....theres even more bikes outside on the patio....
don't feel to bad I had to put up 2 sheds (10x12) just to keep the wife and kids stuff out of the garage(3car), and put up insulation and 1/2" plywood on the walls a 50,000 btu heater,100,000 btu a/c unit in the wall, ran out a phone line and an eathernet cable(computer in the garage) 60amp power and it was all after I jacked it up 18" and poured an new floor(cause it flooded when it rained) so what I have to say is.......its all worthit in the end........and haveing slave labor to help makes it better for the boys character.so good luck in the project and keep us informed .

My Father in Law calls that a "Blivet". That is how he describes my garage. 10lbs of shiz in a 5lb sack. I was out in the garage yesterday and told my wife I have to start throwing stuff away or we need to have a garage sale this spring. It would probably be easier for me to just throw things away.
I need to do the same thing. Been talking about it for almost a year now since I got the car. I'm getting tired of bikes and tools "hanging" around my car from the ceiling. They're secured well enough but it dosen't look like a Vettes garage. It looks a married guy's with two kids and a wife. Maybe this spring.

My place is framed with furring strips and the foil-backed styrofoam stuff...to keep the heat out!

I need to do that. Can't work on the car in the summer after 10am. because the salt and acid in your sweat is melting your eyes. I'm seriously condisering a window A/C unit for the garage.
you HAVE to work on it at 3am. That's why that guy Barking Owl was referring to does that.
My wife's on my case because I have BOTH sides taken up: one side with the frame and the other with the body! Every time we walk through she just has to mumble about having 2 "cars" and nothing to drive in the garage. I bite my tongue and move right along!

another 34' of drywall up...you can feel the difference just walking into the garage compared to the cold concrete....if you are wondering about the set up it was originally a good size two car garage that the PO added a 7 1/2' addition to the side of it thats what we did last night.

Here's my recent purchase. A warehouse that was converted to living space:
In the middle of turning the first floor back into a garage. I'll leave the second floor set up as a bedroom/office for those nights I have to umm, err...work late!
