Default The Mock up....

Went and picked up my pieces at the powdercoaters. I was so excited that I had to mock up the top of my engine in the back of my Blazer...yeah, i know that carb looks kinda boxy, but the one i'm using is in Texas right now getting modded. I had all my accessory brackets and dist. box hardware powdercoated as well as the water neck and the manifolds. The pieces match the valve covers perfectly! The manifolds are a shiny finish, but I dont mind... Hey AK.Mal, I can hear my car running.. can you????

And IT WILL BE RUNNING BY THE FIRST!!!! (barring no issues with the carb..) Oh 1 more thing.. should I put a 4" red bowtie sticker on the dist box? I'm leaning towards yes, butwould love some feedback...

Love the valve covers and breather, they look awesome. I agree with Les, leave the bowtie off of the distributor cover. Its going to be very nice when you get it together.

it's gonna be a sticker.. I may just try it on and see how it looks.. the coater told me that it will stick noproblem and will come off with no damage. I'm just glad that he matched the valvecovers and airbreather exactly.

The red and black is a great combo. I wonder how they did that. Did he tell you if he added the red after the black had cured? Just curious.

The red and black are Proform items.. i had him bead blast the intake and powder coat my accessory brackets, exhaust manifolds and the dist cover.

looks good, i was actually getting tired of seeing all this chrome and bling on engines these days. I prefer powdercoating, raw aluminum, or even polished aluminum looks.

Yoos a funny duck!!

Mine runs. Just doesn't have mufflers. Of course, yours is gonna look a whole lot better than mine. I did notice that you have the model 1230 Cardboardelbrock box carb on that thing. It should scream once you get it all put together.

I'm shooting to have my car at the KCCA show at the I-29/Barry road Wally world in April. You gonna make it out for that show?

I hope to.. depends on when my suspension work gets done.. i was going to do it myself, but with my luck on the engine, i'm gonna leave that to someone else...
