Default L-46 Power

is the l-46 power mesured at the flywheel ,or at the rear wheels. this is in a 70 coupe.....suposed to be 350 hp..

my 69 is a 350/350 L46 and Im pretty certain it is measured at the flywheel. I would also "assume" rwhp is in the neighborhood of 275-290 stock. I would like to dyno it one day soon to find out for sure....or if anyone else has id love to hear the results.

I rebuilt mine to L-46 specs. Figure I will end up around 250HP with some tweaking. Current RWHP is below.

350 hp is a gross horsepower rating -- basically an "ideal" rating, with no accessories. It was only a couple of years later when they went to SAE Net HP ratings...part of the reason the '75 looked so dismal with a mere 165 HP.

Regardless, the 350/350 is a darn good, reliable engine!
